MONACO'S PRESIDENCY OF THE COMMITTEE OF MINISTERS OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE  

The 46 member states of the Council of Europe take on the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers for a period of six months in turn. For the first time since its accession, the Principality of Monaco will assume this function from mid-May to mid-November 2026. This presidency represents both a lever for international visibility and a political opportunity. It will allow Monaco to occupy a leading and guiding position in the work of the committee, with a focus on sport, the protection of children's rights, the fight against violence against women, the sustainability of the European human rights system, and the fight against organized crime.
