LEGENDARY RACE CARS - LIGIER JS11/15
Formula 1 cars designed to take advantage of the ‘ground effect’ saw their heyday in 1980. The aerodynamic system increases downforce, giving cars greater grip and allowing them to take corners at very high speeds. The Ligier JS11/15 was one of the cars to feature this kind of design. Driven by Jacques Laffite and Didier Pironi, it helped the small French marque to second place in the World Constructors’ Championship.
