40th ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRINCESS GRACE IRISH LIBRARY
One of the Principality’s most treasured cultural gems can be found hidden away in the Old Town district. The Princess Grace Irish Library, part of the Princess Grace of Monaco Foundation, was officially opened on 20 November 1984 by Prince Rainier III as a tribute to his late wife, Princess Grace, and her proud Irish heritage. The Library has a collection of books by Irish authors and many beautiful reference books of genuine historical value, all of which are available to borrow. It also houses Princess Grace’s own collection of sheet music and books, all in some way linked to Ireland.
