THE PRINCE'S PALACE FRESCOES
On the ceiling of the Throne Room of the Prince's Palace, a vast composition recounts the Nekya, an episode from Homer's Odyssey in which Ulysses goes to the gates of Hell. Through a ritual sacrifice, the hero invokes the soul of the seer Tiresias to render his oracle. In this detail, a shadow from the realm of the dead stands out against the darkened skies.
