36th CONFERENCE OF MINISTERS OF LA FRANCOPHONIE  

The Agency for Cultural and Technical Cooperation (ACCT) was founded in 1970. Now known as the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), it provides an institutional forum for French speakers, working to promote the French language and foster cooperation between States and governments, whether members or observers. The Conference of Ministers of La Francophonie is one of the organisation’s three governing bodies. It convenes annually, to ensure the political continuity of the Summits of Heads of State and Government. This year, it will take place in Monaco on 30 and 31 October, on the theme “Reconciling humanity and the planet: prospects in the Francophone world ahead of the OIF’s 50th anniversary”.
