50th ISSUE OF THE ANNALES MONÉGASQUES

The creation of the Annales monégasques in 1977 renewed the tradition of scholarly publications of the Archives du Palais, during the reigns of Princes Charles III, Albert I and Louis II. Focusing, for each issue, on the variety of approaches, the diversity of themes and periods, the journal has taken on the collaboration of many university researchers, with the aim of offering substantive, objective and contextual work on the history of Monaco and its Princes. Concerned to maintain a high scientific level, it also targets a wide audience, thanks in particular to its rich iconography.

The stamp is a representation of the Worship of the Magi. The visit of the Three Wise Men during the nativity of Christ is a very popular Christian iconographic theme.

CENTENARY OF THE INTERNATIONAL PHILATELY FEDERATION 

Founded in 1926, the International Philately Federation (FIP) is an organisation that brings together national federations of stamp collectors from around the world. It establishes rules and standards for international philatelic exhibitions. The FIP organises and sponsors competitions. Its main objective is to develop interest in the study and collection of postage stamps.

These issues will be on sale at the “Office des Timbres”, the “Musée des Timbres et des Monnaies”, the post offices and philatelic counters of the Principality, the Monaco stamp-dealers as well as the “Carré d’Encre” in Paris, France. They will be included, with other values, in the 2nd Part of the philatelic programme 2026 and offered to our subscribers and customers.
