INTERNATIONAL CAT SHOW

Organised by the Monegasque association "De Gati de Munegu", the next Monaco International Cat Show will delight cat lovers on October 3 and 4, 2026 under the Fontvieille Marquee. The stamp represents a Persian cat, recognisable by its round silhouette and the very short snout on its face.

HISTORICAL SITE OF THE GRIMALDIS OF MONACO - LES BAUX-DE-PROVENCE

It was in 1642 that Louis XIII, pursuant to the treaty signed in Péronne on September 14, 1641, established Les Baux as a marquisate for the benefit of the son of Prince Honoré II of Monaco, Hercule Grimaldi. While this link was officially abolished during the French Revolution, it has never disappeared, neither from hearts nor from memories, and remains engraved in the history of the two rocks. Moreover, the title of Marquis des Baux continues to be traditionally used by the heir to the Prince of Monaco, today Prince Jacques. Monuments of the village retain traces of the past that united Les Baux-de-Provence to the Sovereigns of Monaco. The beautiful stained glass windows of the Saint-Vincent church, made by the master glassmaker Max Ingrand, were gifted by Prince Rainier III and installed in 1962.

They will be included, with other values, in the 2nd Part of the philatelic programme 2026 and offered to our subscribers and customers.
