50 YEARS OF THE MONTE-CARLO INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL

The 46th edition of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, which will take place from January 19 to 28, 2024, will mark the 50 years of existence of the most famous festival in the world and will close the commemorations of the Centenary of Prince Rainier III, founder of the Festival. Passionate about traditional circus and eager to support circus families, Prince Rainier III created a circus event in the Principality on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of His reign, in 1974. This is how the first Festival was born of the Monte-Carlo circus, under the big top of Joseph Bouglione and with the participation of the Togni cavalry. Since 2005, H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie has been President of the Festival and is fully involved in the design and organization of the shows with the major concern of respecting the traditional circus and selecting the best international acts.
