200th anniversary of the birth of Felix Mendelssohn
German conductor and composer, he conducted his first orchestra at fifteen, and at sixteen, he composed twelve symphonies for string orchestra. For the general public, his most well-known work is “Midsummer Night’s Dream” from which the wedding march commonly used in many weddings today is extracted.
