"RIO+20" (UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT)

The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20, will be held in Rio de Janeiro from 20 to 22 June
2012 to discuss the major themes of the green economy and the institutional framework for sustainable development.
With its strong commitment in these areas, the Principality has hosted various preparatory workshops at the Conference in which H.S.H. Prince Albert II has delivered the “Message of Monaco” on the need for sustainable management of the oceans.
