2012 EUROPA SERIES - "THE STATE APARTMENTS OF THE PRINCE’S PALACE"
EUROPA 2012 "THE LOUIS XV BEDROOM"
Built on the site of a fortress constructed by the Genovese in 1215, the Prince’s Palace was transformed throughout the centuries into one of the most luxurious residences of the 17th century. The State Apartments of the Prince’s Palace are open for public visits a part of year. The Louis XV bedroom which is furnished period furniture and tapestries is adjacent to the Yellow Room. The Mazarin Room evokes the link which united the Grimaldi Family to the celebrated French statesman Cardinal Mazarin by the marriage in 1777 of Prince Honoré IV with Louise d’Aumont-Mazarin, a descendant of the niece of the Cardinal.
